THE DEAD LANDS’ STAR AND WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT A.I DIRECTOR TO PARTICIPATE AT THE BIG SCREEN SYMPOSIUM (NZ)

Both Te Kohe Tuhaka, the star of The Dead Lands and Leanne Pooley, the director of We Need to Talk About A.I will both deliever a mini-keynote speech at the upcoming 2020 Big Screen Symposium in Auckland, New Zealand.

Tuhaka will also take part in a panel discussion called, Indigenising Workflow. This session will explore ideas and methods for Tīkanga Māori to be incorporated into the creation of screen work – from the development of the idea, through to funding, production, distribution and audience engagement. They will share their own transformative experiences in recent mahi, and will discuss future ways to tell stories for the screen with Tīkanga led values and processes. Moderated by Kay Ellmers.
